Organisers of The Coromandel Blues and Roots Music Festival today published information relating to transport options available for Bluesfest NZ. This includes a free bus service that will run from Whitianga town centre and a combination package for Aucklanders.

FREE BUS SERVICE:
As the festival day is being run on a licensed venue, the option to catch a bus from Whitianga township is being offered at NO CHARGE.

Two 40 seater buses will run from the Information Centre in Albert Street, Whitianga to the site between 12.30pm and 5.00pm on Saturday 22 March. The free service will also be available from the site back to the Information Centre from 10.30pm till 1.00am on Sunday 23 March.

ON SITE PARKING:
Prepurchased GA tickets which include parking on the site are available and we suggest if you want to park that you prepurchase the parking option. Anyone looking to park on the day will not be guaranteed a spot. If any parking is still available on the day, this will be on a first come first served basis and will be charged at $4.00 per vehicle. All those who have a VIP Platinum ticket have VIP parking included in the purchase price.

PARKING/CAMPING:
Vehicles may be taken to the camping paddock but once on the campsite, they cannot be moved out of the venue until the morning of Sunday 23 March.

AUCKLAND FESTIVAL PACKAGE (The 09er package) - $239.00 per person:
This package may be purchased direct from Strongman Coachlines on 07 8668175.

Depart Auckland Wharves from Pier 4 at 9.00am Saturday 22 March, travel by 360 Discovery Fast Cat Ferry to Coromandel then bus to Festival venue. The bus departs Bluesfest at approximately midnight and travels to the accommodation in Coromandel Town (option on backpackers or twin share). Depart Coromandel Town 4.00pm Sunday 23 March by bus to Ferry for journey returning to Pier 4, Auckland.

Package includes Ferry, one night accommodation, bus transfers and GA concert ticket. Food and drink own care.
