Cool Blue 96.1FM

The Radio Network Launches New Station in Auckland

Cool Blue 96.1FM
TRN's newest brand, Cool Blue 96.1FM launches 4pm Friday 26th January 2001. Cool Blue has been expressly developed as a music station aimed at Aucklanders 25+ and features an eclectic music mix based around jazz, blues, lounge and local sounds. Cool Blue will carry a limited commercial content, very little comment. Cool Blue is unashamedly top end - it seeks a sophisticated audience and will reward them with cool music from around the world, 24 hours a day.

Cool Blue's opportunity is to attract the 'media hard to gets', those that have abandoned commercial radio and those unsatisfied with non-commercial options.
