Heralded as one of NZ's most musical Scottish imports (NZMM June /July 2003)
Izzy Miller Bell is a contemporary folk blues-jazz blues singer songwriter
who has gained a solid and respected reputation performing at major
festivals, events and venues locally, nationally and internationally.
She has released two albums to date - Accent On The Blues recorded in 1992
documents her early work with musical partner Jon Maxim Hooker. Her second
album Blues Angel was released in 2003 and is a showcase album of original
composition and covers by the likes of the legendary Skip James, Josh White,
John Martyn and Billie Holiday. The album which has received glowing reviews
features Ma Bell's work with some of the South Islands finest musicians in
the Jazz, Blues and Contemporary Celtic fields and is available through
Radar Records in Christchurch or via email.
Izzy Miller Bell / Ma bell is currently touring and can be booked as a duo
through to a quartet. |
