New Years Eve 2011, saw the Mike Garner Band and
B-SIDE BAND playing the Hamilton Sky City Casino, as part of their ‘New
Orleans’ night. This event was put together by the Hamilton Blues Club
as part of the 2011 series they have been presenting at the Casino. Also
performing were The Jaffas (Auckland) and River Rockers (Hamilton). The
show was opened by local singer/guitarist Jason Herbert. The master of
ceremonies was Tony Kaye, the Blues Club ‘head honcho’. The venue was
packed. There was great camaraderie between the musicians, helping to
make it an enjoyable, free flowing NYE.
